The MRMTA Mission Statement
We are a municipal organization that provides leadership in music education across Manitoba. We promote and support high standards of education among our members.
Manitoba Registered Music Teachers’ Association (MRMTA) is an organization committed to ensuring the highest calibre of music education possible and to promote high standards of music in each community.
To be a member of the Association, one must hold a degree or diploma from a recognized university or conservatory or meet the necessary qualifications set down by the MRMTA, thus ensuring a high level of training and a commitment to professionalism.
The Registered Music Teachers’ Association is a Canada-wide federation of private music teachers encompassing ten provinces and the Yukon Territory, with over 3,200 members. A Registered Music Teacher is a member of the provincial association, which is affiliated with the national association (Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Association, CFMTA).
